01-07-2014 CCA regular meeting of the Hopkins City Council was held on January 7, 2014 in the Council
Chasnbers of the Hopkins City Hall. Present were Mayor Maxwell, Council Members Cummings,
Gadd, Halverson and Youakim. Also, present were staff n�embers Elverum, Genellie, Luedke,
Mornson and City Attorney Jeremy Steiner.

Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:14 p.m.
IL CONSENT AGENDA
1. Approve Minutes of the Deceinber 17, 2013 Council Meeting
2. Approve Minutes of the December 17, 2013 Work Session Following the Council Meeting
3. Ratify Checks for the Month of December, 2013
4. Approve appointment of Council Member Youakiin as Mayor Pro 'l,empore for the year 2014
5. Designate the Hopkins Sun-Sailor as the 2014 Official Newspaper for the City of Hopkins
6. Adopt Resolution No. 2014-001 appointing Steve Stadler as City Engineer
Council Member Halverson inoved and Council Member Youakim seconded a motion to approve
the Consent Agenda. A poll of the vote was as follows: Council Member Cummings, aye; Council
Member Gadd, aye; Council Member I-Ialverson, aye; Council Member Youakim, aye; Mayor
Maxwell, aye. The motion carried unanimoLlsly.
IIL ANNOUNCEMENTS
• Mr. Mornson gave an overview o1� the upcoming 2014 meetings.
• Citizen Academy will be Thursdays, April 3- May 1, 2014.
• Wednesday, February 5, 2014: Taste of Hopkins, 5-6 pm and State of the City, 6-7pm at
Hopkins Center for the Arts.
• SWLRT Community Meeting on Thursday, .Tanuary 9, 5-7:30 pm at St. Louis Park
Recreation Centei-.
� Mayor Maxwell welcomed the students from Holy Family High School Govcrnment class.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Council Member Youakim moved and Council Meinber Gadd
seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
