Attached you will find Ordinance 93-723 for second reading.
Adoption of this ordinance amends Section 720.13 of the City Code
and exempts railroad rights-of-way in use for light rail transit
or recreational trails from storm sewer utility charges. No
revisions have been made on the original as submitted to Council
at its May 17 meeting.
The action required is to adopt Ordinance 93-723 for second
reading and ordered published.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 720.13
OF THE HOPKINS CITY CODE
RELATING TO THE STORM SEWER DRAINAGE UTILITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1- The Hopkins City Code section 720.13 is hereby amended
to read as follows:
720.13 Exemptions. Public street rights-of-way, that part
of ~ublic transportation corridors in use for liqht rail or
recreational trails and vacant unimproved land with ground cover are
exempt from storm water drainage charges.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance is effective on June 29, 1993.
