CR 98-141 Approve Petitions for Private Improvements Order Public Hearing- 1998 Misc Assessments
August 25, 1998 Proposed Action. Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 98 -55, Resolution Approving Petitions for Private Improvements and for Hearing on Proposed Assessments — Private Improvements and Miscellaneous Assessments. Overview. Several residential private improvement petitions are attached for Council approval. These petitions involve private work done in conjunction with the 6th Avenue Storm Sewer Project and residents are requesting special assessments of their costs. In addition to these costs there are delinquent invoices, parking ramp maintenance costs, utility connection charges, and retaining wall construction costs to consider as part of the 1998 miscellaneous assessment process. Attached are the petitions for private improvements and a calculated assessment roll. Staff recommends this roll be considered at a public hearing. Primary Issues to Consider. Schedule September 1 September 9 and 16 October 6 Recommendation Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 98 -55 that approves certain petitions and sets an assessment hearing date for October 6, 1998.
