RESOLUTION ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR
MAINSTREET IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 2014-08
WHEREAS, Mainstreet is in need of rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, City staff is requesting that certain water services be replaced in conjunction with
the street rehabilitation and water main replacement; and
WHEREAS, these water services will be replaced under the City's assessment policy even
though no petition for the replacements have been submitted; and
WHEREAS, the first step in the assessment procedure is the ordering of a feasibility report.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota, that the
proposed improvements be referred to the firm Bolton & Menk, Inc. for study and that they be
instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a prelimi-
nary way as to whether the proposed water service replacements are necessary, cost-effective,
and feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some
other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
