AT CONCLUSION OF TH� REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, July 15, 2014
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m.
Present at the meeting were:
x Mayor Maxwell x City Manager Mike Mornson
x Council Member Jason Gadd x Council Member Cheryl Youakim
x Council Member Molly Cummings x Council Member Kristi Halverson
x PW Director, Steve Stadler
Council member Jason Gadd stated that the community works Light Rail meeting is on Thursday
in St. Louis Park.
City Manager Mornson Undate:
• City Manager Mornson updated the council, stating that LTD Brewery will soon start selling
growlers.
• City Manager Mornson discussed an article that talked about Hopkins as a great place to live.
• City Manager Mornson stated that the hockey presentation will be delayed for a while until
the association decides how they want to proceed.
• City Manager Mornson stated that Kersten Elverum, Planning and Economic Director, will be
presenting to ULI on Wednesday of this week and the South West Light Rail Community
Works committee on Thursday about Hopkins plans.
• City Manager Mornson provided updates on the National League of Cities conference that
will be held in Austin, Texas in November, 2014.
• City Manager Mornson stated that Ann Davy will represent the City of Hopkins Resource
West board members.
Public Works Director, Steve Stadler provided update on infrastructure projects.
There being no further business Council member Cummings moved and Council member
Youakim seconded a motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at
8:45 pm.
