SPECIAL MEETING PROCEEDINGS
DECEMBER 16, 2014
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Hopkins City Council was held
on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Training Room of the Police Department at
1010 First Street South, Hopkins. The purpose of the special meeting was to interview
applicants for the open City Council seat.
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order with Council Members Halverson, Cummings and
Gadd attending. Council Member Youakim was not part of the interview process. Also present
were Assistant City Manager Genellie and City Clerk Domeier.
DISCUSSION
The City Council interviewed the following candidates: Scott Kerssen; Aaron Kuznia; Andrew
Fischer; Melissa Everett; Norman Teigen; Kathryn Campbell; and Emily Wallace-Johnson.
The City Council discussed the proposed candidates. Based upon the information provided in
the interviews, the City Council chose to appoint Aaron Kuznia. The official appointment will
take place at the regular meeting on January 6, 2015.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor Maxwell adjourned the
meeting at 6:15 p.m.
