RESOLUTION 2015-015
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Mainstreet from 5th
Avenue to 201h Avenue bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the fol-
lowing bids were received complying with the advertisement:
S.M. Hentges and Sons, Inc. $4,696,538.90
Northwest Asphalt, Inc. 4,996,384.79
Park Construction Company 5,401,912.29
Meyer Contracting 5,871,000.49
C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. 6,213,438.00
Northdale Construction Company, Inc. 7,099,892.55
AND WHEREAS, it appears that S.M. Hentges and Sons, Inc. of Jordan, MN is the lowest re-
sponsible bidder,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota, that:
The mayor and city manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter a contract with S.M.
Hentges and Sons, Inc. of Jordan, MN in the name of the city of Hopkins for the improve-
ments noted above according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the city
council and on file in the office of the city clerk.
2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits
made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bid-
der shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the City Council this 17th day of February, 2015.
