VESELY, City Attorney • September 15, 1978 Mr. Bill Craig City Manager City of Hopkins 1010 First Street South Hopkins, Minnesota 55343 Dear Bill: In response to our phone conversation yesterday, CPT would like to lease for a 1-year period a maximum 175 parking spaces (if available) or a minimum of 150 spaces in permit lot 5 on County Road 3 and 11th Avenue South. We would like these spaces surfaced and available October 1, 1978. Please notify us of the cost and availability as soon as possible. Thank you 4110 for your help. Craig City Manager Hopkins City Hall 1010 S. First Street Hopkins, Minnesota 55343 Dear Bill: This will confirm our desire to lease from the city 75 parking spaces for a term of five years beginning October 1, 1978. It is our understanding this lease will apply to space near the Schoell & Madson Building as long as it is available and then will revert to the lot being developed south of County Road 3. It is also our understanding that this lot will be surfaced, lighted, and properly marked as reserved for our bank; that a P • pedestrian overpass will be constructed and that a walkway ease- ment will be created all along the route leading to the bank. If other city parking spaces would become available during the lease period that would be more convenient, we would appreciate having the flexibility to move our lease to that space. A need also exists for up to ten executive spaces closer to the bank building. Your suggestion of space near the Crestland Building and eventually moving to diagonal parking on 10th Street, would be acceptable. Sincerely, $L-4414e11-4 — Gene A.
