RESOLUTION NO. 78-2732
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING
FOR HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 78-2729 of the Council adopted
October 10, 1978, a report has been prepared by John Strojan, City Engineer,
with reference to the north-south and two east-west alleys in Block 1, West
Minneapolis by concrete paving thereon and this report was received by the
Council on October 17th, 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA, as follows:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such alleys in
accordance with the report and the assessment of Lots 1 thru 32, Block 1,
West Minneapolis and the southwesterly 20 feet of Chicago Northwestern Railroad
right-of-way abutting Lots 1 and 32, Block 1, West Minneapolis for all or a
portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to M.S.A. , Secs. 429.011 to
Secs. 429.111, as amended, at an estimated cost of the improvement of $10,028.00
for concrete surfacing on the north-south alley and $500.00 for grading and
blacktop to meet existing driveways; $7,360.00 for concrete surfacing on the
east-west alley on the south end of block and $500.00 for gradcing and blacktop
to meet existing driveways; $3,381.00 for concrete surfacing on the east-west
alley on north end of block.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on
• the 21st day of NOvember, 1978, in the C ouncil Chambers of the City Hall at
7:30 o'clock P.M. , and the Clerk shall give published notice of such hearing
and improvement as required by law.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this
17th day of October, 1978.
