RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE BY THE CITY OF
HOPKINS OF PARCEL B-C-D, LOCATED IN THE MINN. R-46
URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT AREA BETWEEN 9TH & 10TH AVENUE
SOUTH, NORTH OF FIRST STREET SOUTH, FOR THE SUM OF
$207,288.00, USING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hopkins, on July 20, 1976,
approved a motion to utilize Community Development Funds to close-out the
First Street South Urban Renewal Project, Minn. R-46, in the City of Hopkins,
County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, in order to close-out the R-46 Urban Renewal Project all
of the Project land must be disposed of; and
• WHEREAS, Parcels C-O-D, now known as Parcels B-C-D, in the First
Street South Urban Renewal Project, Minn. R-46, must be disposed of prior to
close-out of the Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins has agreed to purchase Parcels B-C-D and
the Hopkins Housing & Redevelopment Authority has approved such a transaction
at a meeting held October 18, 1976.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Hopkins, hereby agrees to purchase Parcel B-C-D, from the Hopkins Housing & Re-
development Authority for the sum of $207,288. 49, the established fair market
value for said parcel.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, at
• a regular meeting held on Tuesday, the 4th day of January 1977.
