05-05-2015 Work Session after City Council Meeting MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday, May 5, 2015 Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Present at the meeting were the following: x Eugene Maxwell, Mayor x Kristi Halverson, Council x Jason Gadd, Council x Aaron Kuznia, Council x MollyCummings, Council x Scott Landsman, Attorney x Mike Mornson, City Manager x Jim Genellie, Asst. City Manager x Kersten Elverum, PED Dir. x Meg Beekman, Com. Dev. Coordinator Council Member Cummings asked for updates on solar companies. City Manager Mornson will check on the status with the Public Works Director. Council Member Kuznia asked some questions on the Blake Road project. City Manager Mornson provided the following: • Reviewed with Council the May and June meeting schedules. • Reviewed with Council the meeting that Mayor Maxwell and he attended today in Minnetonka about the next steps for Light Rail. • Provided update to Council on Masonic Lodge building, Curry &Noodles applications, and the anniversary party planned for the one year anniversary at LTD Brewery. • Discussion on food trucks on Main Street. • Discussed meeting with non-profits on Cottageville Park project. City Attorney Landsman explained to the Council how the city could do an early redemption of property that doesn't pay their property taxes. Ms. Elverum and Ms. Beekman went over the proposed changes to the Shady Oak station. An open house is scheduled for May 6th at the fire station.
