RESOLUTION NO. 77-2598
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING
FOR HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No.77-2597 of the Council adopted
July 19th, 1977, a report has been prepared by John Strojan, City Engineer,
with reference to the north 21 feet of Lot 23 and south 43 5/10 feet of Lot
24 , including adjacent 1/2 of alley vacated, Block 6, West Minneapolis by the
acquisition and construction of parking lot thereon and this report was
received by the C ouncil on July 19, 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hopkins,
Minnesota, as follows:
• 1. The Council will consider the improvement of such property in
accordance with the report and the assessment of Lot 1, Auditors Subdivision
No. 194; Lot 4, Auditors Subdivision No. 242; Lots 1, 2 and 3, including vacated
street, Dow's Homestead; Tract A thru J, inclusive, Registered Land Survey No.
953; Tracts A and B, Registered Land Survey No. 1027; Lots 31 and 32, including
vacated alley, Block 1; Lots 1 thru 8, inclusive, and Lots 40 thru 42, inclusive,
including vacated alley, Block 2; Lots 1 thru 10, inclusive and Lots 42 thru 46,
inclusive, Block 3; Lots 1 thru 28, inclusive, Block 4; Lots 1 thru 26, inclusive,
Block 5; Lots 1 thru 27, inclusive, including vacated alleys, Block 6; Lots 1 thru
10, inclusive and Lots 23 thru 26, inclusive, including vacated alleys, Block 7;
411 Lots 1 thru 11, inclusive and Lots 22 thru 25, inclusive, including vacated alley,
Block 8; Lots 1 thru 6, inclusive and Lots 13 thru 18, inclusive, the north 20 feet
of Lots 7 and 12, including vacated alleys, Block 11; all in West Minneapolis;Lots
9, 10, and 11, Block 64; Lots 9, 10, 11 and 12, Block 65; Lots 6 thru 16, inclusive,
Block 66; Lots 2 thru 21, inclusive, Block 67; Lots 1 thru 20, inclusive, and Lot24 ,
including vacated alley, Block 68; Lots 1 thru 24, inclusive, including vacated alley,
Block 69; Lots 10 thru 15, including vacated alley, Block 70; Lots 10 thru 15,
inclusive, Block 71; Lots 11, 12 and 13, Block 79; all in West Minneapolis Second
Division, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to M.S.A. ,
Secs. 429.011 to Secs. 429.111, as amended, at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $34,500.00.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on
the August 16, 1977,in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 7:30 o'clock P.M. ,
and the Clerk shall give published notice of such hearing and improvement as
required by law.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota at a regular
meeting held the 19th day of July 1977.
