77-2616 CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 77-2616 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of the extension of a watermain on the easement of the south 20 feet on that part of the east 579.8 feet of Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter in Section 25, Township 117, Range 22, as more fully described in Item #1, under Exhibit "A" hereto attached. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. Such proposed assessments, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof and hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessments against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefitted by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessments shall be payable in equal, annual installments extending over a period of years as set forth in the Schedules of Assessments, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1978. Any deferred installments shall bear interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum from the 1st day of October, 1977. To the first installments shall be added interest on the entire respective assessments from October 1st, 1977 until December 31st, 1978. To each subsequent installments when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may at any time on or before November 15th, 1977, pay the total amount of the assessments against any parcel to the City Treasurer without interest. Also, the owner of any property may at any time thereafter, on or before November 15th of each year pay to the City Treasurer, the entire amount of the assessments remaining unpaid. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the county, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
