RESOLUTION RECONVEYING EASEMENT OVER PART
OF TRACT E, REGISTERED LAND SURVEY NO. 1241
WHEREAS, on June 3, 1968, Embers, Inc. , a corporation under the laws of
the State of Minnesota, and G.F. Lohman (also known as G.F. Lohmen) and Nella D.
Lohman, his wife, as individuals, conveyed to the City of Hopkins an easement for
road purposes over, upon, and across the Easterly one-half of Tract E, Registered
Land Survey No. 1241, Files of the Registrar of Titles, Hennepin County, Minnesota,
immediately contiguous to the Southerly and Westerly boundary of Tract C of said
Registered Land Survey No. 1241, and
WHEREAS, no part of said land has ever been constructed or used for
the purposes set forth in said conveyance.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of
Hopkins as follows:
• 1. That the Easterly one-half of Tract E, Registered Land Survey No. 1241,
Files of the Registrar of Titles of Hennepin County, Minnesota, serves
no public purpose and should therefor be reconveyed.
2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Hopkins are hereby
authorized and empowered for and in behalf of the City of Hopkins, to
execute and deliver a Quit Claim Deed to Hwy. 7 Embers, Inc. for the
following premises situated in the City of Hopkins, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, viz:
The Easterly one-half of the following described tract or parcel:
That part of Tract E, Registered Land Survey No. 1241, lying North of
the following described line: Commencing at the Northeast corner of
Section 19, Township 117, Range 21; thence on an assumed bearing of
North 89°00'30" West along the North line of said section, a distance
of 1,264 feet; thence South 00 West along the centerline of County Road
No. 20, a distance of 300.01 feet; thence North 89°00' 30" West along
the North line of Tract E, Registered Land Survey No. 1241, a distance
of 436 feet to the point of beginning; thence North 89°00'30" West
along the extension of the North line of said Tract E to the West line
• of East 600 feet of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of
said Section 19 and there terminating.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, at
a regular meeting held on the 18th day of October, 1977.
