RESOLUTION
Whereas: Light Rail Transit offers an efficient, fuel conserving and
economical alternative to the private automobile in mass
transportation and
Whereas: there is great need for such an alternative system of mass
transportation in the west suburban area and
Whereas: there is apparently a large base of potential use and sup-
IIIport of such a system within the west suburban area
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Board of Directors of the West
Suburban Chamber of Commerce request the cities potentially served by
the Proposed Southwest Diagonal Light Rail Transit route to take what-
ever efforts they might deem necessary to facilitate planning and
implementation of this route in as timely and orderly a manner as
possible.
Adopted this eighth day of September by action of the West Suburban
Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
