RESOLUTION NO. 83-3078 A
RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW HOUSING
UNITS WITHIN THE PINES MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY WHICH
EXCEED THE WIDTH SPECIFIED IN ORDINANCE 427 . 33 (L)
WHEREAS , Chapter 670, Minnesota Statutes , empowers
the City to enact a zoning ordinance to provide for its
administration enforcement and amendment , and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary, for the
purpose of promoting health, safety, order, convenience , prosperity
and general welfare of the City to enact such an ordinance, and
411 WHEREAS, on March 1977 the City Council of the City of
Hopkins approved Ordinance No. 77-427 entitled , Hopkins Zoning
Ordinance , and
WHEREAS , Section 427 . 33 (L) of the Hopkins Zoning
Ordinance regulates Mobile Home Parks within the City, and
WHEREAS, the owners of the Pines Mobile Home Community,
2012 West Excelsior Avenue, Hopkins , Minnesota have requested a
variance from 427-33 (L) to allow units wider than 12 ' into their
Park,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
• City of Hopkins , as follows :
Approve a variance from 427 . 33 (L) to allow units wider
than 12 feet into the Pines Mobile Home Community in accordance with
427 . 23 (3) and contingent upon the owners of the Pines Mobile Home
Community executing and complying with the requirements of the
Agreement as herein attached.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota this
5th day of -July, 1983.
