83-3089 CITY OF HOPKINS 11 Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 83-3089 RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 83-3085 passed and adopted by the Council on July 5th, 1983, the City Clerk and Engineer were directed to prepare proposed assessments of the costs of improving various streets, avenues, and thoroughfares in the City of Hopkins, all as more fully described in Exhibit A. hereto attached and attached to Resolution No. 83-3085 and made a part hereof, and WHEREAS, the said Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessments have been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. IIINOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. A hearing shall be held on September 20th, 1983, to pass upon such proposed assessments, and at such time and place, all persons owning property affected by such improvements and assessments will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessments. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a Notice of the Hearing on the proposed assessments to be published at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the Notice the total cost of each of such improve- ments. Project 82-01 - Sanitary sewer on the easement on west side of the Hopkins Arches to serve the Massey Ferguson (Nautilus)property, the estimated cost proposed to be assessed being $17,780.47. 2. Project 82-04 - Ornamental street lights on Althea Lane, Herman Terrace and Sweet Briar Lane, total estimated cost being $28,828.00 of which 75% is proposed to be assessed to benefitting properties and 25% to be paid from General Funds. 3. Project 83-01 - Crosswalk at Honeywell, estimated cost proposed to be assessed being $5,980.00. 4. Project 78-28 - Concrete curb, gutter and driveways on Excelsior Avenue from Adams Avenue to Monroe North (Red Owl) ; North side of County Road #3 from 5th Avenue to the abandoned CN&W Railroad right-of-way (Town Terrace Apts.) ; Washington Avenue South from Milwaukee Street to 3rd Street South (Super Valu) ; the estimated cost proposed to be assessed being $17,977.25. 5. Unpaid utility bills at the following locations: 1701 Excelsior Avenue West, total cost being $142.00; 118-19th Avenue South, total cost being $221.22; 6. Tree removal at the following locations: 312-11th Avenue North, total cost being $252.60; 221-13th Avenue North, total cost being $278.60; 27-14th Avenue North, total cost being $295.40; 41-16th Avenue North, total cost being $182.60; Berglund and Johnson property located in Southwest corner of Hopkins, total cost being $1,136.60. 7. Violation of Ordinance No. 80-473 - False Fire Alarms at the following locations: 1019 Excelsior Avenue West, total cost being $102.00; 10 Suburban Square, total cost being $101.50. •
