411 SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE AND AUTHORIZING
PUBLICATION OF NOTICE TO CONSIDER THE ISSUANCE OF MULTIFAMILY HOUSING
DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS
UNDER MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 462C.
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462C (the "Act") authorizes a city
to issue its revenue bonds to make or purchase a loan or loans to finance the
acquisition of a site and construction of a multifamily housing project thereon,
after adoption of a housing plan and program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins (the "City") has prepared and adopted a
housing plan and has prepared and adopted a housing program relating to the
acquisition of land and construction of two individual multifamily housing projects
by Mr. Richard Neslund as components of such plan; and
WHEREAS, prior to the issuance of its revenue bonds to finance the
acquisition and construction of the projects by Mr. Richard Neslund, the City is
required by Section 103 of the Internal Revenue Code to conduct a public hearing
thereon not less than 14 days after publication of notice of the hearing in a
newspaper of general circulation in the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HOPKINS:
1. The City will conduct a public hearing on the the issuance of its
revenue bonds to finance the acquisition of land and construction of
two multifamily housing projects by Mr. Richard Neslund in
conformance with the housing plan of the City on September _, 1983
at 7:30 p.m.
2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to cause a public notice,
substantially in the form of the notice attached hereto as Exhibit A,
to be published once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City
at least 14 days prior to September _, 1983.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota
at a regular meeting held the 16th day of August 1983.
