RESOLUTION NO. 83-3095
A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY SURPLUS AND
AUTHORIZING SALE TO THE CITY OF MINNE'IONKA
WHEREAS, certain property herein described has not been used for
municipal purposes, due to difficulty of access from Hopkins,
WHEREAS, fair and reasonable market value has been determined by the
City Assessor in accordance with Section 12.05 of the City Charter,
WHEREAS, the City of Minnetonka has formally offered to acquire said
property at the specified value should the Hopkins City Council approve,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA,
as follows:
• 1. Certain property is owned by the City of Hopkins and described
as follows:
Parcel 1 - Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Tract C,
R.L.S. No. 291, Hennepin County, Minnesota, thence
south along th8 west line of said Tract C on an assumed
bearing of S 0 10' W a distance of 517.5 feet; thence
S 45° 30' 30"E a distance of 41.92 feet; thence N 88°
49' E a distance of 120 feet; thence N 0° 10' E to the
North line of said tract C, thence southwesterly to the
point of beginning. Area 85,850 square feet.
Parcel 2 - Commencing at the southwest corner of Tract C, R.L.S.
No. 291, Hennepin County, Minnesota; thence north along
the west line of said Tract C on an assumed bearing of
N 0° 10' E a distance of 510 feet; thence N 88° 49'
E a distance of 60 feet; thence S 11° 48' 15" E a distance
of 480.29 feet to the south line of said Tract C; thence
s 75° 45' W along south line of said Tract C a distance
of 165.0 feet to the point of beginning. Area 54,872 sq. ft.
• Said property is surplus to the needs of the City of Hopkins, and is
hereby declared surplus.
2. Pursuant to figures and calculations furnished by the City Assessor, the
fair and reasonable market value for the property hereinbefore mentioned
is hereby established to be $6,460.00. The Mayor and City Manager are
hereby authorized to convey it to the City of Minnetonka for that sum.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota this 6th day
of September, 1983.
