Special Meeting 1-14-1975 11 A special meeting of the Hopkins City Council and the Hopkins Zoning and Planning
Commission was held on Tuesday, January 14, 1975 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall.
Present were Mayor Pokorny, Council members, Milbert, Vassar, Miller and McDonald.
Zoning and Planning members Chairman Shirley, and members Arnold, Moll, Gaskell
and Hance. Also present were City Clerk Richardson, City Engineer Strojan, City
Planner Bergly and Zoning Administrator Kohnen.
Items for discussion: 1. An overall look at the past and proposed Zoning Ordinance
and the future of Hopkins led by James Shirley.
2. Apartment densities and heights. Non conforming uses
because of heights and densities and lot size led by
Don Hagen.
3. West Excelsior Avenue and the school annex property.
4. Old and new densities on proposed zone changes.
;" • Action: Mayor Pokorny instructed Planner Bergly to bring in map and chart densities
for all zoning changes so the Council and Planning Commission will be familiar
with all densituichanges proposed in the new ordinance from the 1966 ordinance.
Item: The next combined meeting was set for Tuesday, January 28, 1975 at 7:30 P.M.
Action: Mr. Vassar moved and Mr. Milbert seconded a motion that the meeting be
adjourned. Motion carried.
