RESOLUTION NO. 75-2449
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND
PREPARATION OF PLANS
WHEREAS a Resolution of the City Council No. 75-2436, adopted the 6th day
of May, 1975, fixed a date for a hearing on the proposed improvement of the
residential area bounded by State Highway 7, 5th Avenue North, Minnetonka Mills Road
and the Burlington Northern Railroad by the installation of ornamental street
lights thereon, the total estimated cost thereof being $18,751.70.
WHEREAS all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed for
the making of this improvement were given ten days published notice of the
Council hearing through two weekly publications of the required notice, and
a hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon on the 3rd day of
June, 1975 and continued on July 1, 1975.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Hopkins:
l. Such improvement is hereby ordered on Wayside Road between 5th Avenue
and Wayside HQllow; Farmdale Road, between Wayside Road and Hollyhock Lane;
Sweet Briar Lan�; between Farmdale Road and the south line of Hobby Acres Lohmann
Aarhus Division; Althea Lane between Wayside Road and Farmdale Road: Hazel Lane
between State Highway No. 7 and Farmdale Road; Hollyhock Lane between Wayside
Road and Farmdale Road by the installation of ornamental street lights and the
estimated cost being $8,667.12 to be assessed to the following described properties:
East 80 feet of the West 265 feet of the North 150 feet of the Southwest Quarter
of the Northwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 117, Range 21 (Parcel 5020) Lots
10, 11 and 12, Block 1, Campbell Addition; Lots 1 thru 9, inclusive, Block 2;
Lots 1 thru 6, inclusive, Block 3; Lots 1 thru 4, inclusive, Block 4; Lots 1 thru 8,
inclusive, Block 5; Lots 1 thru 8, inclusive, Block 6; Lots 1 thru 8, inclusive,
Block 7; Lots 1 thru 6, inclusive, Block 8; Lots 1, 5, 6, 7 inclusive, Block 9;
Lots 1 and 2, Block 10; Lots 1 and 2, Block 11; Lots 1 and 2, Block 12, all in
Hobby Acres Lohmann Aahrus Division; Lots 2 thru 4, inclusive, Block 1, Hobby
Acres Lohmann Koehler Division; Tracts A, B, and C, Registered Land Survey No. 95;
all of Registered Land Survey No. 1295, as adopted by the City Council in this
Resolution.
2, That John Strojan is hereby designated as the Engineer for this
improvement and that an agreement be entered into between the City of Hopkins
and Northern States Power for the installation of this improvement.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 15th
day of July, 1975.
