75-420 CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE N0. 75-420 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING HOPKINS ZONING ORDINANC� BY REZONING LOTS 19 THROUGH 29 , INCLUSIVE , BLOCK 2 , WEST MINNEAPOLIS BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Hopkins as follows : That Hopkins Zoning Ordinance Number 269 be and the same is hereby amended as follows : That Lots 19 through 29 , inclusive , Block 2 , West Minneapolis , be and the same are hereby rezoned and changed to I- 1 (Industrial) instead of B-3b . That the official zoning map of the City of Hopkins heretofore adopted in connection with said Zoning Ordinance Number 269 is hereby changed and amended in conformity herewith. VESELY, City Attorney / r C,/ To be published in the HOPKINS SUN, November 12, 1975 CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION N0. 75-2469 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR TRANSMiSSION OF BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR ANY CON- STRUCTION EXCEPT ONE AND TWO-�AMILY RESI- DENCES IN THE CITY OF HOPKINS TO THE HOPKINS ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION AND THE HOPKINS CITY COUNGIL FROM AND AFTER NOVEMBER 4 , 1975 , UNTIL ADOPTION OF NEW ZONE PLANS AND ORDINAN- CES OR JUNE 1 , 1976 , WHICHEVER DATE IS SOONER WHEREAS , the Hopkins Zoning and Planning Commission has for more than twelve months been engaged in a review of the Zoning and Planning ordinances of the City of Hopkins a�d has held public hearings thereon and made certain interim recommendations to the Hopkins City Council in connection therewit� ; and, WHEREAS, the Hopkins Urban Housing and Redevelopment Authority has and is purchasing and redeveloping thraugh sa�e large tracts of land in the City which require new and different plans , traffic routing and uses ; and , WHEREAS, a comprehensive city-wide study is in process concerning the use changes, area and density reauirements , and other similar matters ; and, WHEREAS, an orderly procedure is now necessary in order to direct developments and construction during the interim until the new revised zoning code and regulations are adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that from and after November 4, 1975 , all new applications for building permits for any structure or alteration thereof, except one- and two-f amily residential buildings , which applications are received by the Building Inspector, shall be immediately transmitted and referred to the Hopkins Zoning and Planning Commission and to the Hopkins City Council , and no such building permit shall issue except upon Motion duly carried at a meeting of the Hopkins City Council. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of this Reso- lution shall expire either on the date when the new revised zoning ordinance takes effect or on June 1 , 1976 , whichever date is sooner. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be published in the official newspaper of the City of Hopkins .
