11-17-2015 Work Session after City Council Meeting MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION PROCEEDINGS AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday, November 17, 2015 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. Council Members and staff present at meeting included the following: x Mayor Maxwell x Council Member Gadd x Council Member Halverson x Council Member Campbell x Council Member Cummings x City Manager Morrison The following updates were provided at the meeting: City Council: Council Member Gadd's CMC meeting has been rescheduled to December 9, 2015. Council Member Cummings will attend in his absence. Council Member Cummings asked about the Race Equity Workshop. City Manager Morrison commented that staff and Council are signed up to attend the workshop in 2016. Council Member Halverson will attend the Community Works meeting on Thursday and update the Council. City Manager Morrison commented that only the Mayor and City Clerk would need to sign the minutes from here on. The Work Session on December 8 is scheduled to begin at 7 pm. Council Member Gadd will not be in attendance at the December 8 Work Session. Staff is meeting with the Historical Society to finalize the building lease for the Masonic Lodge. The lease is scheduled to be on the December 15 City Council agenda. City Manager Morrison updated the Council regarding a request for a comedy club theatre on Mainstreet. The business owners will attend the December Work Session to discuss their business plan and request for a liquor license. Public Works Director Stadler will be recognized as Public Works Director of the Year at the December Council meeting. Jeremy Steiner, former City Attorney, will be recognized at the December 15, 2015 City Council meeting.
