RGSOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED USG OF 2017 URBAN HGNNEPIN COUNTY
COMMUNITY DEVELOPA4ENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS
AND AUTHORIZING GXECUTION OF SUBRCCIPIENT AGREEMENTS WITH
HENNEPIN COUNTY AND ANY THIRD PARTY AGREEMENTS
WHERGAS, the city of Hopl<ins, through executioi� ofa Joint CooperaYion Agreeinent with
Hennepin Counry, is cooperating in the Urban Heimepin Comity Community Development Block
Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the city of Hopkins has developed a proposal for t11e use of 2017 Urban
Hennepin County Community Develo�ment Block Grant fimds made available to it; and
�VHGREAS, the city held a public hearing on March 21, 2017, to obtain the views of citizens
on housing and comn�unity development needs and priorities and the City's proposed use of
$140,915 fi�om Yhe 2017 Urban Hennepin County Community Development Blod< Grant.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Counei] of Hopl<ins approves the
following projects for funding from the 2017 Urban Hennepin County Conununity Development
Block Grant Program and authorizes submitt�al of the proposal to Hennepin County.

BE 1T FURTHER RC50LVED, that the City Cotmcil hereby authorizes and directs The
M1yor and its City Manager to execute the Subrecipient Agreeinent and any required Third Party
Agreement on behalf of the City to implemeilt the 2017 Community Development Block GranC
Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, thatshould the final amount ofFY2017 CDBG available to
the city be different from the preliminary amount provided to the city, the City Council hereby
authorizes the city manager to adjust project budget(s) to reflect an increase or decrease in fimding.
