RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE �XECUTION OF A JOINT COOP�RATION
AGRE�M�NT B�TWEEN THE CITY OT HOPI{INS AND H�NN�PIN COUNTY FOR
PARTICIPATION IN THE URBAN H�NN�PIN COUNTY COMMUNITY
DEV�LOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRANI IN FY 2018 — 2020
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins, Minnesota and the County of Hennepin have in effect a
Joint Cooperation Agreement for purposes of qualifying as an Urban County under che United StaTes
Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Bloc]< Grant (CDBG),
Emergency Solutions Grai�ts (ESG) Program, and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME)
Programs; and
WEICREAS, the City and County wish to execute a new Joint Cooperation Agreement in
order to continue to qualify as an Urbau County for purposes of tl�e Comil�uniry Development Block
Grant, ESG and HOME Programs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that a new Joint Cooperation Agreement
between tl�e City and County be executed effective October 1, 2017 and that the Mayor and the City
Manager be authorized and directed Yo sign the Agreement on behalf of the City.
