RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE 2001
CITY GENERAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, an election was held on November 6, 2001 in the City of
Hopkins for the purpose of electing a Mayor and two Council Members, and;
WHEREAS, the results have been received from all eight precincts,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The City Council of the City of Hopkins
declares that the final results of the election of November 6, 2001 is as follows:
Candidates for Mayor
Eugene Maxwell
Write-in
2016 votes
61 votes
Candidates for City Council
Rick Brausen 1012 votes
Bruce J Rowan 736 votes
Kristi Halverson 677 votes
Jay M Thompson 596 votes
Peggy Cyr 496 votes
Koreen Bowers 316 votes
Write-in 20 votes
A total of 2,403 votes were cast, 2,341 in person and 62 by absentee ballot.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hopkins declare
Eugene Maxwell as Mayor and Rick Brausen and Bruce Rowan as Council Member,
offices to take effect on January 1, 2001.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins this 7th day of November,
