RESOLUTION 2001-71
RESOLUTION APPROVING USE OF 2001 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) has offered funding to
law enforcement agencies to underwrite projects to reduce crime and improve
public safety through the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) Program;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins has received initial approval in the amount of
$11, 843; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of computers and related equipment qualifies under
the purpose area specified in the grant conditions of law enforcement support -
procuring equipment, technology, and other materials directly related to basic law
enforcement functions;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Hopkins, Minnesota that the funds be used to purchase 3 additional computer
workstations. The remainder of the monies will be used to replace older office and
squad room furniture.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins this 16th day of October,
2001.
