2002-044 CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2002-44 RESOLUTION ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE SHADY OAK POND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT 02-02 WHEREAS, the Shady Oak Pond does not currently have an outlet; and WHEREAS, the lack of an outlet has causes potential flooding problems in the area; and WHEREAS, the 1997 Hopkins Flood Response Action Plan, adopted by the Hopkins City Council, identified the Shady Oak Pond as Area No.1; and WHEREAS, the most reasonable first step in developing a feasible solution to the problems is the ordering of a feasibility report. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, MiImesota, that the proposed improvements be referred to the firm of Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. for study and that they be instmcted to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in cOllilection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost ofthe improvement as recommended.
