2002-027 CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY , MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2002-27 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRECINCT BOUNDARIES AND POLLING PLACES WHEREAS, The 2000 Census is complete and; WHEREAS, State and Federal redistricting is complete and; WHEREAS, Hopkins has been divided into two Congressional Districts, requiring new precinct boundaries to be drawn; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The new precinct boundaries are established as follows: Precinct 1 Beginning at the NW corner of said precinct, the area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of 5th Ave N and State Highway No 7, then easterly along State Highway No 7 to its intersection with Edgemoor Dr, then north along Edgemoor Dr to its intersection with the northerly city limits, then easterly along the city limits to their intersection with Blake Rd N, then southerly along Blake Rd N to its intersection with 2nd St NE, then southwesterly along 2nd St NE to its intersection with Tyler Ave N, then southerly along Tyler Ave N to its intersection with St Louis St, then southwesterly along St Louis St to its intersection with Excelsior Blvd, then southwesterly along Excelsior Blvd to its intersection with 5th Ave S, then northerly along 5th Ave S to its intersection with 5th Ave N, then northerly along 5th Ave N to the point of beginning. Precinct 2 Beginning at the NW corner of said precinct, the area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of Blake Rd N and the northerly city limits, then easterly and continuing in a clockwise direction along the city limits to their intersection with US Highway No 169, then northerly along US Highway No 169 to its intersection with Excelsior Blvd, then northeasterly along Excelsior Blvd to its intersection with St Louis St, then northeasterly along St Louis St to its intersection with Tyler Ave N, then northerly along Tyler Ave N to its intersection with 2nd St NE, then northeasterly along 2nd St NE to its intersection with Blake Rd N, then northerly along Blake Rd N to the point of beginning. Precinct 5 Beginning at the SW corner of said precinct, the area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of 3rd St N and 17th Ave N, then northerly along 17th Ave N to its intersection with the westerly city limits, then northerly and continuing in a clockwise direction along the city limits to their southern most intersection with Edgemoor Dr, then southerly along Edgemoor Dr to its intersection with State Highway No 7, then southwesterly along State Highway No 7 to its intersection with 5th Ave N, then southerly along 5th Ave N to its intersection with 2nd St N, then westerly along 2nd St N to its intersection with 7th Ave N, then northerly along 7th Ave N to its intersection with 3rd St N, then westerly along 3rd St N to its intersection with 15th Ave N, then southerly along 15th Ave N to its intersection with 3rd St N, then westerly along 3rd St N to the point of beginning.
