RESOLUTION 2005-042
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE AND USE
OF CREDIT CARDS BY CITY DEPARTMENTS
BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council ofthe City of Hopkins, Minnesota as follows:
1. That pursusnt to Minnesota Statutes 471.382 the City Council hereby authorizes the
use of credit cards by city employees to make purchases on behalf of the city.
2. That approval of the application for a business credit card for city employees dated
February 5, 2005 herby be ratified.
3. That the Director of Finance be authorized to obtain from our financial institution
credit cards for employees of the city as deemed necessary.
4. That the Director of Finance is also authorized to set credit limits for each card issued
to city employees as appropriate for their department based on travel and purchasing
needs and will develop a system of internal controls to track the issuance and status of
the cards issued.
