RESOLUTION NO. 2005-061
RESOLUTION RELEASING TAX FORFEITURE PROPERTY
AND RECOMMENDING PRIVATE SALE BY COUNTY
TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has notified the City of Hopkins of certain real estate described
under PID Nos. 25-117-22-23-0054 and 25-117-22-23-0055 which are located within the
City and which have been forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real
estate property taxes; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the parcels described would be of no benefit to the
City for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, the parcels have been determined to be non-conservation land as provided for in
Minnesota Statutes 282.01,
WHEREAS, PID No. 25-117-22-23-0054 is approximately 3,600 square feet which does not
meet the required minimum buildable lot size,
WHEREAS, PID No. 25'-117-22-23-0055 is approximately 2.400 square feet which does not
. meet the required minimum buildable lot size,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hopkins:
That the City hereby releases the parcels from Hennepin County described under PID
Nos. 25-117-22-23-0054 and 25-117-22-23-0055, and
That the City hereby recommends that the parcels be made available for private sale by
the County to adjacent property owners.
