RESOLUTION NO. 2004-77
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hopkins has received a request for approval
of a site plan and conditional use permit action for a proposed office
condominium development on Second Avenue South (the
"Development"); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition requesting that Hopkins order the
completion of an Environmental Assessment Worksheet ("EAW") for the
Development; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes and Rules require that Hopkins defer action on the
Development until such time as the City Council determines whether to
order an EAW; and
WHEREAS, the City Council requires information from interested parties to determine
whether an EAW is appropriate.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Hopkins
hereby adopts the following resolution:
1. The City Council continues any and all decisions on approvals for the
Development until such time as the City Council determines whether to
require an EAW for the Development.
2. All parties interested in providing information to the City Council regarding the
need for an EAW shall submit such information to the Hopkins Planning
Department not later than October 4, 2.004.
3. The City Council shall consider all information received by October 4, 2004, at
its work session scheduled for October 12, 2004.
4. The City Council shall issue its decision regarding the need for an EAW at its
October 19, 2004, regular meeting.
