RESOLUTION FOR AWARD OF CONTRACT
CITY FACILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
POLICE STATION RENOVATION
SECURITY SYSTEM
Whereas, the City has determined that Pro-Tec Design, Inc. is the winning
contractor on the competitively-bid State of Minnesota contract for security system
design and installation, and;
Whereas, the City requirements for a new security system for the renovated police
station closely match the scope of this State bid contract, and;
Whereas, Pro-Tec Design's proposal for the cost of providing the new police
station security system is within the allotted budget for this work and very close to
the estimated cost,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA, that Pro-Tec Design, Inc. is hereby awarded a contract in the
amount of $165,872.39 for installation of said security system and the Mayor and
City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said
contractor for and on behalf of the City.
Adopted by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 16th day of March 2004.
