A Council worksession was held on Tuesday, November 14,1995 in the Raspberry Room at
Hopkins City Hall. The meeting began at 6:30 p.m. Present were Mayor Redepenning and
Council members Chuck Kritzler, Bob Anderson, Gene Maxwell and Fran Hesch. Also pres-
ent were City staff members Steve Mielke, Jim Kerrigan, Paul Steinman, Steve Stadler, Dave
Johnson, and John Schedler.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Redepenning. The first item of busi-
ness was a discussion of the Pines Mobile Home Park redevelopment proposal from Real
Estate Equities. Jim Kerrigan gave an overview of the proposed project and representatives
from the development company explained various aspects of the project. Discussion was
held by the Council conoeming the pros and cons of a proposed project. Staff indicated that
the next appropriate steps would be to obtain community input on the proposed townhouse
project, and that this information would be reported back to the Council in January.
The next item of discussion was a change order for RLK regarding design services for the
Mainstreet project. City Manager Steve Mielke explained that this item had been placed on
the agenda for discussion, since it had been previously placed on a Council agenda and had
not been approved. Dick Koppy and Chuck Poplar were on hand from RLK to discuss the
change order with the Council. After discussion, it was the consensus of the Council that
this item should be placed on the next Council agenda for approval.
The next item was a discussion of the 1996 budget. Steve Stadler, Public Works Director,
revieHred the various Public Works budget items with the Council and answered questions
oonceming various programs and services included in the budget. Dave Johnson, Recre-
ation Director, reviewed the Recreation programming and budget with the Council.
There being no further business a motion was made by Chudc Kritzler, seconded by Bob An-
derson to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
