In attendance at the Worlrsessioa was Mayor Redepeanigg and Camalmembers Hescb, Mmcwdl, Anderson amd Kritzler. Mayor Redepenning called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. L DLSCITSSION OF 3T. 'r~sESE BOND ISSUE Staffmember rim Kerrigan reviewed the request from St. Thee for the passage of a ~~*~+cipal bond and the staffaations to review and n.,~ti..•~d approval of the bond issue. Bond Counsel, Stephanie Galey was on bend to discuss the legal rsa~ificatio®s of the roquest and rec~++~eaded approval of the Bond Issue from a legal pGrspectiv~e. IL NATIONAL PA G ASSOCIATION Couaalmember Hesch reviewed the background and histay of the Aaso~i (NPA). After raviiew and discussi~ it was agroed that a re~~ti~c~n be placod on an upcoming agenda which would support the caacept sad the Mission 3t~aaeot of the National I`a~~ig Association. liL YARD WASTE PROGRAM St~manba Lee C~uata~on reviewed a memorandum addressing the issues of yard waste and bzuah piclrup. Staff~~....•~eoded that the Counal begin a'Buck A Bag" aystan for yard waste which also allows for free drop-oat various times ofthe week. Staffia also ~~~^~.....amding a charge fttr brush pic'~~. After discussion, the Causaled a desire to charge far brush pick up ,~~ _id for one week each month in which brush pickup waild be $+ee. The Council then discussed a ~......~~*~ity educattion program involving yard waste maoagemeat. Darnel Cole of Rance appeared before the Counal to show a video tape and to discuss the concept of a yard waste management seminar and demonstration project which will help in lawait~g the yard waste removed from ~i~d+~ yards After discussion the Council endorsed the concept. 1V. DbSCiTSSION OF SUBURBAN c:~VROLET 3taffmernber Kerr~gsn reviewed a memorandum discussing the process, pota~t~~t uses and level of public asaiatanRx which may be necessary for the relwbitrt~on of Suburban Chevrolet. Discussion by the Counc~lmdicated a general desire to p'nticipete in the redevelopment of the site end . a desire to have more ;~,fo~,~ation about the Cites capaaty of redeveloping the site sad various options on haw to proceed in developer sde;ction. .. A motion was made by Bob Anderson, seconded by Fran Hesch to adjourn the meeting.
