IMORKSESSION
' June 14,1994
A Counal worksession was held on June 14,1994 in the Raspberry Room at Hopkins City Hall.
In attendance were Mayor Redepenning, and Councilmembera, Hesch, Kritzler, Maocwell and
And rson. Also in attendance were stab` members, Mielke, Hamnenirtg, Ehrerum, Tom Anderson
and Lee Gustafson.
Mayor Redepenning called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
1. HOUSING PROGRAIA INITIATIVES
A staff report outlining the 1991 Housing Analysis and a status report on the progress
made on recommendationsfrom the 1991 report was reviewed by Elvenxn and Tom
Anderson. Ham~ening reviewed with the oot~rx:il se~reral proposed new initiatives in the
housing area.
After discussion the staff will work on many of the neMr initiatives and bring thorn forward
to the council.
II. CURRENT STREET REPAIR POLK:IES
Public Works Director Lee Gustafson met with the council members and discussed the
current polices sumour~ding repair cif utility services and proposed two options for the
council to consider which would ease the monetary impart of utility service repairs. Tire
oouncl discussed several options and it was the consensus oaf the oouncl that a policy
which provides for cty assistance on utility work would be d for their consideration.
III. 1~4 PUBLIC IMORKS BUDGET
Public Works Director Gustafson reviewed with the oouncl the general fund e~cpenditures
for programs and services relating to Public Works. Due to time constraints the oouncl
held off on discussions of the special revenue and enterprise funds associated with Public
Works.
Motion was made by Councilmember Anderson and seconded by Councilmember Hesch ~
adtoum the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 p.m.
