A Council Morksession eras bald in the Raspberry Room at Hopkins
City Hall.
In attendance at the Morksession eras Mayor Redepenning and Coun-
cilmambers 8esch, Maacirell, Anderson and ~Critsier. Also in
attendance Here staff mearbars City Manager Stave Kialka,
Coasaunity Development Director Tom 8araaninq, Housing Coordinator
R~ ~~.an $ivesvm, and Suildinq Official Tba Anderson.
Mayor Redepenning called the meeting to order at 6 p.m.

Icersten $lverum arranged a tour of multifamily housing de-
velopments. Attending the tour rith the Council and staff
~rere tao members of the Landlord Coalition, Lisa Faraci of
Stuart-Shelard l~anage:oent and Sue Killer of Highland
Management. The Council conducted visual tours by bus and
also stopped at three developaents to tour units. The stops
atere at Hest Side village, the Ar~.~+~^-, and Town Terrace
Apartments.
The tour eras concluded at 8 p.m. and the Council moved to
Raspberry Room 8 to finish the Morksession.

The Council discussed those itea:e ~rhich they viatred during
the multifamily tour and concluded that a meeting Mith the
Landlord Coalition `ras in order. Areas of primary interest
includes a discussion of the tenant selection process and
the possible adoption of the BOCA Maintenance Coda. in
addition to the above, the Council also ~rould consider
landscaping requirements.

Co®nmiunfty Development Director Tom 8armaning reviewed with
the Council the various budgets of the Cos~ounity Development
Department highlighting the General Fund, Bop-A-Ride, 8ous-
inq Funds, and $conomic Development Funds.
General discussion etas bald regarding programs and services
offered by the Department and questions Here posed regarding
staffing and personnel ~rithin various divisions of the De-
partment. Council indicated a desire to discuss staffing
levels ~rithin various divisions.
The meeting Mas adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
