06-19-06 WSJune 19, 2006 Page 1 MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, June 19, 2006 Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:45 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Thompson, and Halverson. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow. Shady Oak Road Neighborhood Meetings City member Halverson asked about the schedule for the upcoming Shady Oak Road meetings. City Manager Getschow stated that there is a Hopkins residential meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 21 for residential properties as it relates to the road alignment for northern and southern property owners. On Thursday, June 29 there will be a Shady Oak neighborhood meeting for the businesses in the southern portion along Shady Oak Road, related to the realignment. Getschow stated that he would email the Council members the schedule for those neighborhood meetings. The feedback received from the neighborhood meetings will be brought forward to the July 11 joint City Council Work Session with the city of Minnetonka. It is anticipated that the two city councils will then consider approval of the layout at an August City Council meeting. City Assessor Contract Mayor Maxwell requested information on the city's cost of the contract since inception. "ewer Backup Insurance In 2005 city staff was investigating whether to acquire no-fault sewer backup insurance as an extra policy for the City. With two new Council members on in 2006, the City Manager will bring back information to the two new members regarding the progress of that project. There being no further business, a motion was made by Thompson, seconded by Halverson to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
