MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
February 7, 2006
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 10:00 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council
meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Rowan, Thompson,
Halverson, and Youakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow, Public Works Director
Steve Stadler.
2006 Street and Utility Improvement Project
Public Works Director Stadler followed up regarding the 2006 street and utility improvement questions
with the Council that were raised as a part of the public hearing earlier this evening.
Erwin Stobbe
Public Works Director Stadler discussed with the Council the background of the Erwin Stobbe issue.
Empty Bowls Event
The Council discussed the Empty Bowls event which is occurring in March.
Instant Run-Off Voting
The City Council discussed the Charter Amendment that is before them as it relates to instant run-off
voting. There is a work session planned on February 28 to discuss the issue. Council discussed some of the
information they had received to date, and Council member Rowan stated that he will be attending the instant run-
voting task force meeting later this week.
State of the City
Council discussed the planning for the State of the City event.
Fire Department Annual Banquet
Council discussed attendance at the annual fire department banquet.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Council member Youakim, seconded by
Halverson to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 10:50 pm.
