RESOLUTION NO. 2003-044
RESOLUTION APPROVING FEE INCREASE FOR CURBSIDE BULK PICK UP
AND ESTABLISH A FEE FOR APPLIANCE DROP OFF AT BULK DROP OFF EVENTS
WHEREAS, Legislative Policy, Chapter 8D, Solid Waste Collection, stipulates that Bulk Item
charges will be established by City Council Resolution and,
WHEREAS, the revised charges for Bulk Item Pick-up and addition of a fee for appliance drop
off at the Bulk Drop Offs need to be formally approved by Council Resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hopkins,
Minnesota, that the charges which are defined in Legislative Policy, Chapter 8D be hereby revised as
follows:
I. That one fee of $25.00 per bulk item or % cubic yard of loose material replaces the current
curbside bulk pick up fee schedule.
2. Add a fee of$20.00 for each appliance disposed of at the City's semi annual bulk drop off
events.
