RESOLUTION TO REJECT LOW BID AND AWARD TO SECOND LOW BIDDER
CITY FACILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
PW BUILDING ADDITION, BID PACKAGE NO.2, DIVISION 3
PROJECT NO. 99-06
Whereas, the City has determined that the low bid submitted by Premier
Construction Systems, Inc. is defective and non-responsive because it did not
include all required elements of work as described in the construction plans and
specifications, and
Whereas, the second low responsive bidder is Thurnbeck Steel Fabrication, Inc.
with a bid of $220,767.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA, that the bid of Prernier Construction Systerns, Inc. is rejected and
the contract for City Project 99-06, Bid Package No.2, Division 3 is awarded to
Thurnbeck Steel Fabrication, Inc. in the amount of $220,767.00 and the Mayor and
City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
Thurnbeck Steel Fabrication, Inc. for and on behalf of the City.
Adopted by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 20th day of May 2003.
