RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACT TO THURNBECK STEEL
FABRICATION, INC.
CITY FACILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
POLICE STATION RENOVATION, BID PACKAGE NO.4, DIVISION 3
PROJECT NO. 02-40
Whereas, the City has complied with State law for public construction by publicly
advertising for bids on all the bid divisions for the Police Station Renovation
project, and
Whereas, there were no bids received for bid division 3, structural steel fabrication
supply, and
Whereas, three bids were then directly solicited, received and publicly opened on
September 19, 2003 with the low bidder being Thurnbeck Steel Fabrication, Inc.
with a bid of $72,223.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA, that the contract for City Project 02-40, Bid Package No.4, Division
3 is awarded to Thurnbeck Steel Fabrication, Inc. in the arnount of $72,223.00 and
the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with Thurnbeck Steel Fabrication, Inc. for and on behalf of the City.
Adopted by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 23rd day of September
2003.
