MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, June 5, 2007
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8: 35 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council
members Halverson, Thompson, Rowan and Y ouakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick
Getschow, Public Works Director Steve Stadler.

. Public Works Director Stadler gave an update on the 2007 Street Utility Project
. Public Works Director Stadler provided an update on the Excelsior Boulevard Streetscape Project. He
stated that several items under warranty should be replaced in the near future.
. Council Member Halvorson stated she has seen a new electronic sign placed at the entrance of the Blake
School. She wondered if the school had received a permit for that sign. City Manager Getschow will
investigate.
· Council Member Halvorson stated that she had received an email from someone regarding allowing
chickens as pets on property in Hopkins. City Manager Getschow stated he will provide background
ordinance information.
City Manager Getschow stated that there may be a redevelopment proposal for the Atlas site brought
forward in the near future for a senior housing project. Information will be provided in an upcoming
update.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Y ouakim, seconded by Halvorson to adjourn the
meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9: 10 pm.
