MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Wednesday, November 7t'`, 2007
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:25 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council
members Halverson, Brausen, Rowan and Youakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick
Getschow and City Planning and Economic Development Director Kersten Elverum.
Block 64 Redevelopment: Staff discussed with Council the plan for the redevelopment of Block 64 based
upon the discussions with the new developer- Doran Companies.
City, Lots: Council and staff discussed the five city lots that are for sale in the community and the process
that the council is using to sell these lots through a realtor.
Rental License Program: City Manager Getschow states that the staff is having an issue with one rental
license in the community. It is possible that the license could be brought forward for revocation or
suspension based on non-compliance with the city code.
State of the City: City Manager Getschow stated that the dates available for the State of the City would be
either be in late January or mid March. The Council consensus was to host the State of the City in mid
March.
Comprehensive Plan: City Manager Getschow stated that there would be a joint meeting with the Planning
Commission and the City Council in, December to once again discuss the comprehensive plan. Neighborhood
meetings will be held once again to review a draft plan in the spring of 2008.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Halverson, seconded by Youakim to adjourn the
meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 pm.
