RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING FOR
2019 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 2018-10
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized and directed the City Engineer to prepare a report with
reference to the aforesaid improvement, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has caused to be prepared the aforesaid report for improvements
on Cambridge Street, Lake Street Northeast, Van Buren Avenue N, Tyler Avenue N, Hiawatha
Avenue„ and Oak Park Lane and this report was received by the City Council on October 16,
2018, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is
necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connec-
tion with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a
description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets and utilities in accordance with
the report and the assessment of benefitting properties for all or a portion of the cost of
the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statues Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of
$5,575,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on Tuesday, the 201' day of
November in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 1010 First Street South at 7:30
P.M. and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of said hearing and im-
provements as required by law.
Adopted by the City Council this 16th day of October, 2018.
