RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING FOR
2020 & 2021 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 2019-10
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized and directed the City Engineer to prepare a report with
reference to the aforesaid improvement, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has caused to be prepared the aforesaid report for improvements
on Preston Lane, Boyce Street, Goodrich Street, Ashley Road, Holly Road, Oakwood Road,
Interlachen Road, Maple Hill Road, Homedale Road, Hawthorne Road, Meadowbrook Road, and
Blake Road from Spruce Road to Boyce Street; and this report was received by the City Council
on August 20th, 20l 9, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is
necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in
connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as
recom�nended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for
affected parcels,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets and utilities in accordance
with the report and the assessment of benefitting properties for all or a portion of the cost
of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statues Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost
of$18,174,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on Tuesday, the 17h day of
September in the Council Chambers at ]O 1 17th Avenue South at 7:00 P.M. and the City
Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of said hearing and improvements as
required by law.
