MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, March 4, 2008
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:00 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council
members Halverson, Brausen and Youakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow.
Annual Report: The City Manager provided drafts of the 2007 Annual Report to the City Council for review.
The annual report will be provided at the State of the City Address on March 18th
Fifth Ave Flats: City Manager Getschow provided an update on staff's meeting with the developer and
representatives of a maj or property owner regarding this development project.
2-11 'TIF Legislation: City Manager Getschow stated that City Attorney Dieke, Council member Youakim and
he will be testifying before the senate taxes committee on the following morning (Wednesday, March 5)
regarding the TIF bill.
Caring Youth Awards: The awards event is scheduled for Thursday, March 13th. Council member Youakim
is the council representative to this event.
State of the City: The City Manager and Council Members planned for and discussed the upcoming State of
the City event planned for Tuesday, March 18th.
Council Member Rowan arrived at 9:35 p.m.
With no further business, a motion was made by Brausen, seconded by Youakim to adjourn the meeting. The
motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9:55 pm.
