RESOLUTION NO. 2019-100
RESOLUTION APPROVING EXECUTION OF CLEAN WATER FUND GRANT AGREEMENT NO.
SG-13457, WATER EFFICIENCY GRANT, BETWEEN THE CITY OF HOPKINS AND THE
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has established a water efficiency grant program to provide
funding assistance for homeowner purchases of qualifying appliances or irrigation system upgrades;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins has applied for a grant and has been awarded a grant of $19,000 to
assist Hopkins residents in purchasing water and energy efficient washing machines and toilets or
irrigation system upgrades:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hopkins:
I. That the Clean Water Fund Grant Agreement No. SG-13457 is hereby approved for execution.
II. That the City of Hopkins will provide 25% matching funds, not to exceed $6,333.
III. That the Public Works Director is authorized and directed to execute said grant agreement
and serve as official liaison with the Metropolitan Council or its authorized representative.
