SUBJECT: SW LRT Update
As construction of the SW LRT project is well underway and very visible in Hopkins, staff
wanted to take the opportunity to invite SW LRT project staff to share the most current
information about the project and provide an opportunity for the City Council to provide
feedback.
Representatives from the Metropolitan Council will provide information and an update on the
project including the following:
Overview of the station areas and bridges
Update on construction activity
Update on proposed Rail Support Facility
Requested easement and parking use extension
City staff will also provide a brief overview of the PLACES initiative and a proposed Shady Oak
South Pond Agreement with the Met Council and the City of Minnetonka.
