MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, June 3, 2008
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:45 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council
members Halverson, Brausen, Rowan, Youalcim and City Manager Riclc Getschow.
Other:
City Manager Getschow discussed the enforcement of the City policy regarding rank growth and
overgrown lawns in the City of Hopkins.
The City Council stated how pleased they were with the CERT program and hoped that we are able to
get at least two more classes in before next summer with the grant money that was received.
Council member Brausen stated that he appreciated the health insurance discussion at the previous work
session. He hopes that we are able to advocate to the legislature our concerns regarding health insurance
as a major issue. He also expressed support for the employee wellness program.
City Manager Getschow stated that there will be an opening on the Park Board in July.
• City Manager Getschow stated that sign up for the National League of Cities Annual Conference begin
soon.
With no further business, a motion was made by Brausen, seconded by Youalcim to adjourn the meeting. The
motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 pm.
